MSU School of Hospitality Business "Destination Auction"

Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality Business is hosting it’s annual Destination Auction on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The proceeds benefit the Students and Alumni Association of the School of Hospitality Business, Broad Business Pavilion, and two local charities: Junior League of Lansing and Capital Area Humane Society. The auction will be at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. Alumni and industry partners donate packages from across the world.

TAP Series contributed courses from their Allergen Friendly Series: 30 Allergen Awareness courses, 30 Allergen Plan Development courses, and 30 Allergen Plan Specialist courses to the auction. These self-study courses with their accredited and recognized credentials are designed to be incorporated into a current class (often sanitation or nutrition) as “homework”.

This is a truly unique education offered through no other program. With this education, your students not only learn the awareness of food allergens in public foodservice operations, but also learn how to develop and execute a plan for becoming a highly accommodating food allergen friendly operation. In the current food safety environment, this management level allergen knowledge is a natural extension to the general food safety education.
